Themis Program Management & Consulting Ltd., a BC company established in 1988, and GAEA Management Ltd. operates the Family Enforcement Maintenance Program in British Columbia, a Provincial government program that provides services in tracking and collecting child and spousal support. We are currently looking for a Technical Support Analyst for our Burnaby office. This is a one (1) year term position.
As a Technical Support Analyst, you will serve as the initial point of support to users experiencing software and hardware problems. In order to perform your job effectively, you should be familiar with common PC hardware and application software; network systems; printers; troubleshooting and providing recommendations to address long term re-occurring technical issues; as well as resolving and escalating tickets as required. You will also be called upon to work with your team or with members from various other teams to support the objectives and deliverables of the Business and Technology Solutions Department.
Requirements
 3+ years hands-on experience in providing excellent customer service and technical support in a high volume Technical Help Desk.
 Experience in supporting Windows OS, Windows Desktops, Microsoft Office Suite, Oracle Application and Linux Servers.
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
 Extensive experience in tracking and documenting issues via a Helpdesk system.
 Proven ability to investigate and analyse information to derive solutions to problems.
 Excellent time management and attention to detail making you skilled at working under presume to meet deadlines and changing priorities.
 Experience administering, maintaining, and troubleshooting a dynamic range of IT hardware and software infrastructure including Active Directory, DNS, DFS, VPN, firewalls and network.
Qualifications
 Bachelor degree or certificate in computer related discipline or the equivalent experience
 Minimum of three years experience in technical support role
