This lobby, Mearsheimer and Walt contend, has pressured the U.S. government into Middle East policies that are strategically and morally unjustifiable: lavish financial subsidies for Israel despite its occupation of Palestinian territories; needless American confrontations with Israel's foes Syria and Iran; uncritical support of Israel's 2006 bombing of Lebanon, which violated the laws of war; and the Iraq war, which almost certainly would not have occurred had [the Israel lobby] been absent.

Trying to summarize this Third World war that the CIA, the National Security complex, the military, all interwoven at it in many different ways, has been waging. We count at least, minimum figure, six million people, who've been killed in this long forty-year war that we've waged against the people of the Third World.

Не так уж честны были «гуманные рыцари перестройки». Конечно, встречались и вполне бескорыстные людены, и даже сейчас встречаются отдельные особи. Но в целом Институт экспериментальной истории, выращивавший их тут руками прогрессоров на жалованьи, позаботился и об их обогащении, и о поводках, препятствовавших свернуть с запланированного маршрута. А на этом маршруте они должны были так изуродовать все арканары вселенной, чтобы ни один потом не встал с колен. И черное золото углеводородов неслось бы по галактическим трубам все на Запад, на Запад… Сколько долларов за баррель? Теперь и здесь научились считать.

Правда ли все это? Зависит от личной позиции. Я полагаю, большей частью – да. И дело не только в нефти. Сама территория России, земля и вода, очищенные от загрязнения хорошо организованным простоем промышленности, выглядят в настоящее время как величайшая ценность.
