Software Developer with InstallShield Experience

Job Description:

Asset Control (formerly TAP Solutions Inc.), has developed and brought to market a sophisticated, cross asset application server platform for the international financial services industry. As a result Asset Control is expanding its technology services team and has immediate openings in its Software Development team.

Asset Control follows formal development and project management methodologies. The software development team excels at producing high level and detailed designs and has an outstanding reputation for timely delivery and high quality.

Based in Asset Control’s Vancouver office and reporting to the Director Software Development, this position will perform the following functions:

· Produce detailed software design specifications in response to functional specifications and high-level designs.
· Develop and unit test software code in response to design specifications and project plans
· Review and comment on project documentation in a timely fashion
· Provide effective communication within project teams and to management
· Provide ongoing, proactive technical support to customers, product management, sales, marketing and other teams
· Maintain competency in current software development practices and other areas of professional knowledge relevant to development activities
· Provide regular and timely reports on status of developments, current and anticipated problems, and recommendations for solutions for those problems
· Maintain our product installation infrastructure
· Contribute to automation of our build process
· Develop and maintain our configuration management system

Qualifications


Energetic, results oriented individuals with a “can do” attitude are required with the following skill sets:

· B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent level of education and directly related work experience
· Minimum 3 years development experience, preferably within the financial services industry
· Strong written communications skills in English
· Demonstrable understanding of the software product development life cycle
· Proficient in: C#, with familiarity of C/C++, ASP. NET, XML, Windows 2000, TCP/IP, object oriented design methodologies, fault tolerant real-time software
· Proficient in SQL and relational databases, in particular Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and Transact SQL
· Expertise in the use of Microsoft technology, .NET, HTML, CSS, web services, and web application development.
· Solid experience with InstallShield
· Demonstrable skills in configuration management and build automation
· Completion of Canadian Securities Course or equivalent an asset

Senior Software Developer

Specific responsibilities for this position include:

· Produce high level and detailed software design specifications in response to functional specifications
· Develop and unit test software code in response to design specifications and project plans
· Manage the design and development activities of others in a small team environment
· Review and comment on project documentation in a timely fashion
· Supervise, coach and support junior development staff
· Provide effective communication within project teams and to management
· Provide ongoing, proactive technical support to customers, product management, sales, marketing and other teams
· Maintain competency in current software development practices and other areas of professional knowledge relevant to development activities
· Provide regular and timely reports on status of developments, current and anticipated problems, and recommendations for solutions for those problems

· Proficient in: C#, with familiarity of ASP.NET, XML, C/C++, Windows 2000, object oriented design methodologies, fault tolerant real-time software
· Strong skills using SQL and relational databases, especially Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and Transact SQL
· Expertise in the use of Microsoft technology, .NET, HTML, CSS, web services, and web application development.

ясно.... но процентная текучка у тапа самая большая из всех компаний на которые я работал.. .поэтому и спросил.
