Hello CSID Staff,

The Youth Internship Program is gearing up for its Fall intake and we would like to let you know that we are currently recruiting youth for internships within the Federal Government. We would appreciate it if you could forward this information to your program participants as is appropriate.

Eligibility Criteria:

· 15 to 30 years of age

· Canadian Citizen or Landed Immigrant

· Able to work in Canada

· Non-Graduate of high school, or high school graduate with no more than 2 years of full time post secondary education

· Able to pass the Federal Government’s enhanced reliability security clearance

· Able to attend a one week assessment from August 27th to 31st, 2008


Program Details:

· A 6 month internship for high school graduates with a training allowance of $8.56/hr for 40 hours a week

· A 1 month pre-employment training followed by a 9 month internship for non-graduates of high school, with a training allowance of $8/hr for 40 hours a week
