New Westminster (NEWS1130) - A massive fire is burning in New Westminster. News1130's Kim Seale with airbourne traffic can see giant flames coming up from a condo development near Royal Columbian Hospital. The building is the Copperstone Complex on Sherbrooke Syreet and fire crews from Burnaby have also been brought in to help with the blaze that started just beofe 5:30 p.m. There are 232 units and most of the have been sold, but no one has moved in yet. Seale says the building is three or four story stories high and it's fully engulfed. She adds there are hundreds of people out on the street watching it happen. One caller tells us he is watching the blaze just off Brunette Avenue and Columbia, and says there is a lot of smoke billowing out. Smoke can even be seen from across the Fraser River in Surrey.
