Linux Administrator - Intermediate

LOCATION: Vancouver BC (downtown)

HIRING COMPANY: a financial institution with billions in assets and with a very long history of stability and determination
to continue in this way regardless of any market uncertainties. This position is opened as a result of growth of the company's systems and storage.

This is a full-time permanent position

RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a member of a 5-10 people team administer the company's numerous servers

REQUIREMENTS:
4-6 years of UNIX/Linux Systems Administration experience in mid-large environments
SAN is a must
Scripting experience in any of these languages: Perl, Python, Shell Scripting or other
Experience working with open source technologies
Basic TCP/IP networking
Experience working in a team is very important -- will make it or break it

There is a list of nice-to-have's which we will discuss with you in the interview, but the above mentioned are the core skills you must have for this position.
The environment is Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Tomcat 5.x, Apache 2.x

Previous experience in implementation and support financial services IT infrastructure a definite plus.
Postsecondary education is a plus.
Certifications are a plus.

Да, но блин проблема в том, чтобы манагерам объяснить, что мне нахрен не надо сидеть в их офисе. Из Австралии или Марса такое делать можно для десятка контор одновременно. Но понимают это единицы.
