Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Storage Administrator to join their Storage and Database Administration team.
The successful incumbent will be responsible for team planning activities such as the coordination of operational coverage, day-to-day issues management, and tactical service delivery management, as well as supporting the performance management process. The focus of this position is in high level technology planning with management, architecture, and senior technical staff as well as with external vendors.
Position Requirements
Your qualifications will include:
- Experience supporting Solaris in a production environment
- Experience using, maintaining and monitoring Enterprise class storage arrays
- Specific working knowledge of EMC storage technology which includes Symmetrix and Clariion storage arrays and EMC Control Centre management software
- Sound organization and planning skills in order to manage to overall team and departmental goals and objectives
- Practical experience in leading technical projects
- Practical experience in providing technical consulting and planning
- Practical experience in collaborating with various IS colleagues, management and staff is required in support of cross-workgroup projects and operational support
- Project Management skills are definitely an asset as it relates to the support of operational and Divisional projects
- Practical experience in leading a team of technical staff, providing leadership and direction to a team would be an asset
Must Haves:
Solaris Support Experience 5 - 7 years
EMC Storage Technology experience, specifically Symmetrix and Clariion 2 - 4 years
Experience with SAN / NAS 2 - 4 years
Nice to Haves:
Oracle, SQL, DB2 or IMS database experience.
Experience as a storage administrator for sites approaching 100TB of data.
large corporation, casual work environment, some on call but otherwise regular business hours.

Salary: Min: $60,000.00 Max: $62,000.00
