Day 49 - Celebrations in Toronto

Toronto torch celebrations will take place at Nathan Phillips Square beginning at 6:00 pm. A special commissioned dance and musical piece, Convergence, will incorporate live music and dance inspired by Asia, Africa, Europe, Oceania and the Americas. Toronto-based singer/songwriter Suzie McNeil will perform along with some surprise guests. The Olympic Flame is expected to arrive at 7:00 pm. The night will end with an amazing fireworks finale by Circus Orange. The Olympic Flame is expected to arrive at 7:00 pm.

The Olympic torch is passed in Oshawa, Ont., on Wednesday, and will arrive in Toronto on Thursday afternoon. (CBC)
