The ballad evolved from "Hey Jules", a song McCartney wrote to comfort John Lennon's son, Julian, during his parents' divorce.

я этого не знал, когда пыталсо убаюкать на руках свою старшую, которая удивительным образом таки засыпала под моё завывание... и которая тоже в некотором роде Jules... хотя я не разводилсо и не собираюсь :)
