Microsoft Canada is holding a competition for individuals to survive ten days in a foreign country WITH JUST A PC.
Microsoft will send three individuals with a friend to a foreign country with just a PC laptop. (No Wallet, no phone, no security blankie!).
The prize:
Like a free 10-day trip in a foreign country with a friend isn’t enough, right? They will walk away with: a laptop, a survival kit, ACTRA session and use fees (approx $7000), and a $1000 prepaid credit card! The friend will walk away with: a laptop, a Windows 7 phone, a survival kit, and a $750 prepaid credit card!
To be selected to audition, interested individuals need to make and submit a video of themselves (up to 5 mins in length) telling or showing why they'd be so great in this competition. The video should be submitted to http://inthestudio.ca/microsoft/ after May 2nd. The ten best entries will be paid an ACTRA session and use fee (approx $400) and will voted on by the on line community, and three potential "Survivors" will be chosen to travel.
The selected contestants will need to find shelter and food for survival, accessing online resources with a PC laptop. They will be required to connect with the Facebook community via wall posts, photos & videos on a daily basis. The friend will take photos and record videos on the Windows Phone 7 and upload to Facebook on a daily basis. They cannot use the $1000.00 CDN prepaid credit card for anything except for emergency. If They successfully survive the trip, they get to keep the credit card when they return. In addition, the friend will also receive a $750.00 CDN prepaid credit card upon return.
PP - CONTESTANT
Either Gender. They have to be a Canadian, fluent in English or Bilingual, with loads of personality and be very familiar with a PC. They have to hold a valid passport and be the age of majority in their province of residence.
