Last month, was announced that we were a regional winner of the Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures™ program by Waterstone Human Capital. Today, I have even better news as we just received word that Coast has been named one of Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures of 2011.
To be named one of the top 10 admired corporate cultures is a major honour, especially since more than 400 organizations were nominated this year. The culture that our employees work hard to build and maintain at Coast is one of the best in Canada. Your dedication to innovation, desire to make Coast stand out in the financial services industry by providing simple financial help to our customers, and equally important, ability to have fun at work is clearly being acknowledged. We are truly changing the way Canadians feel about banking, forever.
I’m extremely proud of each staff member’s contribution to this award and on behalf of SET, I’m happy to announce that all Coast employees will receive an extra day off (7.5 hours for full-time and 4 hours for part-time) to be used by May 31, 2012.
Today’s Financial Post provides a complete list of the winners. Coast is the only credit union on the list and the only financial institution from BC. Our news release will be posted to our site later this morning.
This award clearly establishes us as leading organization. It was made possible by the passion and commitment that you bring every day to Coast to support your colleagues and to serve our customers.
