Кто что знает о лекарстве Gravol?
Предстоит 12 часовой перелет с ребенком 10 месяцев (весь перелет приходится на момент бодрствования) и в аптечке на всякий случай лежит гравол, но вот очень волнует вопрос о побочных действиях и вообще как-то очень страшно давать малышу какое-то лекарство. Может кто его использовал для успокоения/на сон для маленьких деток, поделитесь опытом, пожалуйста.
Мы были у доктора и он сказал купить этот гравол, но в аптеке, удивились что мы берем для такого маленького, сказали что это для деток от 2 лет. А сколько тогда давать для 10 месячного? И как долго он действует?

Are there any other precautions or warnings for Gravol?

Before you begin using a medication, be sure to inform your doctor of any medical conditions or allergies you may have, any medications you are taking, whether you are pregnant or breast-feeding, and any other significant facts about your health. These factors may affect how you should use this medication.

Alcohol: Alcohol may add to the side effects of dimenhydrinate (e.g., drowsiness) and should be avoided when using this medication.

Drowsiness: This medication can cause drowsiness. Do not drive or perform other hazardous tasks until you know dimenhydrinate does not affect your ability to do them safely.

Pregnancy: This medication should not be used during pregnancy unless the benefits outweigh the risks. If you become pregnant while taking this medication, contact your doctor immediately.

Breast-feeding: This medication passes into breast milk. If you are a breast-feeding mother and are taking this medication, it may affect your baby. Talk to your doctor about whether you should continue breast-feeding.

Children: The safety and effectiveness of using this medication have not been established for children under one year of age. Caregivers of children between 1 and 2 years old should contact their child's doctor before giving dimenhydrinate.

What other drugs could interact with Gravol?

There may be an interaction between dimenhydrinate and any of the following:

alcohol
anticholinergics (e.g., benztropine, oxybutynin)
antihistamines (e.g., diphenhydramine, chlorpheniramine)
barbiturates (e.g., phenobarbital, butalbital)
benzodiazepines (e.g., diazepam, lorazepam, oxazepam)
muscle relaxants (e.g., cyclobenzaprine)
opioid medications (e.g., codeine, morphine)
other medications that cause drowsiness (e.g., chlorpromazine, gabapentin, loxapine, mirtazapine, quetiapine, zopiclone, droperidol)
If you are taking any of these medications, speak with your doctor or pharmacist. Depending on your specific circumstances, your doctor may want you to:

stop taking one of the medications,
change one of the medications to another,
change how you are taking one or both of the medications, or
leave everything as is.
An interaction between two medications does not always mean that you must stop taking one of them. Speak to your doctor about how any drug interactions are being managed or should be managed.

Medications other than those listed above may interact with this medication. Tell your doctor or prescriber about all prescription, over-the-counter (non-prescription), and herbal medications you are taking. Also tell them about any supplements you take. Since caffeine, alcohol, the nicotine from cigarettes, or street drugs can affect the action of many medications, you should let your prescriber know if you use them.

Так в том-то и дело, что это именно наш семейный доктор в ванкувере сказал в случае чего, давать гравол, я поэтому и интересуюсь что может кто его использовал и как вели себя после него детки.

Я знаю, что лучше вообще ничего такого не давать, но интересуюсь на всякий случай, т.к. перелет долгий и я лечу одна с ребенком.

"в случае чего", это видимо если у ребенка явно укачивать будет... т.е. если benefits outweigh the risks. Вообще-то Гравол противопоказан маленьким детям, и даже если кто-то своим давал, то никто не предскажет как отреагирует на то же лекарство Ваш ребенок. Да и не все побочные эффеты видны невооружонным глазам, а сам сказать о своих ощущениях не сможет.
Gravol/Adverse Reactions/Side Effects
CNS: drowsiness, dizziness, headache, paradoxical excitation (children).
EENT: blurred vision, tinnitus.
CV: hypotension, palpitations.
GI: anorexia, constipation, diarrhea, dry mouth.
GU: dysuria, frequency.
Derm: photosensitivity.

Если решитесь применять, то попросите фармацевтов чтобы Вам дозировку на кг веса рассчитали - у них должна быть детская формула.

Gravol, вроде, от тошноты. А "успокоение", точнее сонливость и drowsiness и есть побочные эфекты.
Я б не стала успокаивать ребенка лекарством.

Он также применяется при motion sickness... я как-то на себе его попробовала - не понравились мне ощущения, честно скажу... но конечно если было совсем-совсем худо, то пришлось бы дальше пить.

Так вроде при motion sickness как раз и тошнит? Или там еще что-то?

Пожалейте ребенка, не давайте лекарства. Перелет с маленьким не так страшен, проверено. Удачи!
