Main Purpose & Function
The Integration Specialist Programmer Analyst position involves complex analytical, programming, business
application configuration and testing work for data integration programs using Microsoft Biztalk.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to, designing, writing, documenting, implementing and maintaining programs and
configurations; consulting with IT staff in analyzing existing and proposed integration procedures and requirements,
designing and developing integration to other City business applications; creating and maintaining software; working
with team staff in the design, development and implementation of reports; evaluating the need for and developing
general purpose routines, utilities and command procedures.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a two year diploma course in information technology at a technical institute plus
sound experience in programming; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. A minimum of one year of
experience as a Programmer Analyst is preferred. The requirement for this position is a combination of knowledge and
experience using Microsoft Biztalk.
The candidate will also have thorough knowledge of computer programming methods, practices and procedures as
applied to the work performed; considerable knowledge of the operating systems and development tools used at the
City; considerable knowledge of problem definition, analysis and solution techniques applicable to business
applications and procedures, as applied to the work performed; ability to collect, analyze and evaluate information
required for analysis and programming purposes, to develop logical solutions for assigned problems and to perform
the resultant coding/configuration; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of
internal and external contacts and team members to provide advice, information and assistance. You will be capable of
handling business critical and sensitive information in a position of trust with an ability to understand and interpret oral
and written instructions as well as an ability to work with technical and non-technical staff. Experience in C#
development, Microsoft BizTalk, SQL Reporting, SOAP extensions and web services are essential.

До закрытия позиции остался фактически один день. Честно говоря я ожидал несколько большей активности. Толи BizTalk девелоперов в Ванкувере по жизни нет, толи их и так неплохо кормят? Вообще-то это был вполне реальный шанс попасть в говермент организацию. Хмм-м-м... я думал, что народу это интересно, все-же мы моложе не становимся...
