Java Developer –
Role - The developer is responsible for coding and unit testing Java programs in a J2EE and DB2 environment. This resource will use external (also called functional) designs and internal (also called technical) designs as the specifications for the coding.
Qualifications – The developer will have these qualifications:
· Java - Strong in Java development, with at least two years of experience in that language.
· DB2/SQL - Knowledge and experience of working with DB2 and SQL, including hands-on development of SQL using JDB C.
· Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) - Proficient with object-oriented development, ideally with a model-driven approach using UML. Preferably, knowledge of Rational Rose.
· XML - Working knowledge of XML.
· J2EE – Awareness of JSPs/Struts/J2EE web container. Preferably, knowledge of a full J2EE application server or web/servlet container engine, such as Tomcat. Preferably, knowledge of Java IDE.
· Unit Testing - Experience developing and executing unit test plans.
Certification - This resource must achieve Curam technical certification before starting on the project.
