Спасибо! И такое стоит заранее написать и тащить с собой, если в госпиталь или как-то там еще…

Тащить с собой не надо, но обмолвиться надо, кто является POA пациента и это будет у него в мед. профайле вместе с номером care card и пр. личной информацией.

В BC только один документ дает право принимать людям медицинские решения за тех, кто не способен их принимать самостоятельно. Называется документ " Representation agreement" регулируется отдельным законом "The Representation Agreement Act". Тот человек, о котором вы спрашиваете в вашем первом посте будет называться " Decision Maker" или "Guardian", но никак не "Аttorney"

"Power of attorney" по BCшным законам - это все таки больше право на представление интересов клиента по вопросам собственности или юриспруденции.

What decisions can be delegated with a power of attorney?
A power of attorney is used to delegate financial and most legal decisions. This is true for both a power of attorney and an enduring power of attorney. But your attorney cannot make medical or health care decisions for you, such as consenting to surgery or dental work for you.
