Fujitsu is looking for a bright and energetic Support Engineer to join our Vancouver team for a permanent opportunity.
The Support Engineer will have experience specializing in application implementation, development, and support and will be responsible for supporting CTI IVR Applications on Avaya Platform. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Providing operational support and maintenance including day-to-day operations, monitoring, configuration and problem resolution of the CTI IVR solution or other applications from the application portfolio
Coordinating and communicating with impacted parties in the troubleshooting process
Implementing new solutions and services for applications from the application portfolio, including Call Centre applications, according to specifications and quality standards and producing requirements, design and maintenance specifications as per defined process
Referencing and applying industry best practices for supported applications
Providing guidance in the development of tests cases
Providing support on a secondary portfolio of applications when required
Keeping management and stakeholders informed of progress and other key metrics on a regular basis
Building and maintaining close and effective working relationships with the business organization(s)
Providing 24x7 on call support as required
Qualifications
Required Experience/Skills
Design, development and support
Java, .NET
Proven analytical and trouble shooting skills
Unix shell scripting, perl and Voice XML
Demonstrated work experience with in an application development and support environment
Excellent communication skills.
Positive, flexible, open-minded approach towards work assignments
Good interpersonal skills, ability to adapt to and work effectively with clients and co-workers with different styles and levels of technical knowledge
Must be able to work in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision and work well under pressure
Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
Demonstrate effective communication skills. Ability to develop technical artifacts and presentations to articulate configurations, integrations, and other technical areas.
Desirable Experience/Skills:
CTI - IVR applications on Nortel/Avaya Periphonics platform
Application development and support experience within a publicly or privately-held utilities organization.
ITIL v3 Foundation Certification
