What's the job?
We're looking for someone who is a data wizard and enjoys analyzing numbers and working with databases. As the Senior Analyst, Business Intelligence, you'll play a key role in the delivery of an integrated business intelligence (BI) environment to help Coast Capital execute our long term corporate strategies.
You'll be accountable as the business lead for explaining the vision and requirements for our BI environment, critical for the delivery of management information and analytics to the business. You'll also be responsible for ensuring data requirements of business stakeholders are communicated and delivered in partnership with the Information Technology team. And you'll collaborate with our Enterprise Architecture and Information Security teams and help to ensure robust data governance, controls, audit and security are in place for accuracy, integrity and protection of customer data.
What you'll get to do:
Be the business lead overseeing the design and management of a Business Intelligence environment that will successfully integrate data sources, allow for efficient information delivery and facilitate business analysis and opportunity identification.
Support the Head, Enterprise Analytics in providing direction and consultation to the enterprise in the discipline of Business Intelligence and data warehousing technologies.
Assist colleagues in the Enterprise Analytics team leverage tools and technology to build smarter ways of delivering analytical information across the organization.
Participate in building and maintaining an End User Computing environment including data governance, audit and security.
Promote and support the BI team's vision of instilling data and analytically based culture within organization. Effectively influence management to accept and support business intelligence initiatives and strategy.
Who are we looking for?
7-9 years of progressive business intelligence experience combined with a degree in related field
Knowledge and experience working with SAS and SQL as well as working with and designing databases.
Strong influencing ability and project management experience necessary.
Experience with writing and interpreting technical business requirements.
A strong passion and desire to work with data ensuring accuracy, controls and governance an absolute must.
