Job Description


The Systems Administrator is responsible for providing systems engineering support to client-facing or infrastructure systems running the operating system and system hardware for a specific platform. This support is primarily focused on Level 2 support issues.



Support servers, desktops and associated services
Maintain systems and hardware components
Resolve tickets assigned to team and troubleshoot problems
Engage additional technical experts for problem resolution
Manage tools and applications
Open trouble tickets as needed for monitored events/alerts
Respond to customer service requests via the change management tracking system
Understand requirements necessary for prompt response to critical issues
Create, review and update existing documentation and procedures with new or revised knowledge to perform critical system support functions
Coordinate with internal customers to confirm the resolution of incidents and work requests
Provide explanations to project teams regarding standard work performed on their systems
Participate in and contribute to daily shift turnover activities
Identify and report unguarded systems as candidates for monitoring
Cross-train other team members
Participate in 7x24 on-call rotation as necessary


Qualifications
Computer Science Diploma or Degree
2 to 4 years experience in an IT support role in large scale company
Previous experience or aptitude to be successful in a systems support capacity.
Familiarity with hardware and server system
Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audience
Ability to clearly document processes and procedure
Ability to document solutions for reusability and knowledge sharing
Maintaining an open and flexible perspective to new ideas
Ability to identify typical internal and external sources of knowledge capita
Identifying typical confidentiality considerations when sharing knowledge capitalAbility to balance development of personnel needs with requirements of an engagemet
Understanding of infrastructure management and distributed operation in a large environment
MCSE and asset

Job Description

As a member of the Quality Assurance Team, the candidate will work with internal clients from various departments within Best Buy Canada and within the IT Division to develop test plans, develop and execute test cases, and automated test scripts.

Responsibilities include:

Establish goals and objectives for appropriate testing cycles.
Provide estimates for test effort to Project Manager.
Create test cases based on Functional and Technical requirements. Maintain test case library as system requirements or design changes.
Participate in integration and system testing. Execute test cases and report defects in a defect tracking tool. Verify and validate bug fixes.
Develop and maintain automated TEST scripts. Execute the automated scripts.
Create test plans based on business processes, requirements and system designs.
Create and maintain test data.
Create, debug and execute SQL scripts for database verification.
Participate in requirements and design reviews.
Provide support to test environment users. Coordinate UAT activities with client testers during User Acceptance testing.


Qualifications
3 years Software QA experience.
3 years working experience with Test Management tools.
2 years Client server applications testing experience.
Strong understanding of Quality Assurance and Testing methodologies.
Strong understanding of Development Life Cycle models.
Working knowledge of version control tools Harvest, VSS, CVS.
Knowledge of database concepts desired.
Working knowledge of ORACLE8i, 9i and Microsoft SQL.
Proficient in PC based applications.
Knowledge of/experience with the Unix and Microsoft Operating System.
Working knowledge of Mercury Test management and Test automation tools: Test Director, Winrunner, Loadrunner.
Must be analytical and detail oriented.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and team skills.
University Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Информацию по зарплате не сообщают. Но вообще в Аccenture платят справедливо. Можете смело смотреть среднюю зарплату по позиции и региону где-нибудь на Workopolis.com на пример. Будет где то в районе мидианы и 75%иля. Более того, можно смело полагаться на ежегодный рост зарплаты.

Еще одна общая рекомендация. Резюме и cover letters должны быть без ошибок - что значит: без спелинговых , без грамматических и без стилистических. Особенно без стилистических. Дайте свои бумаги почитать native speakerам и они вам сразу укажут где какая мысль неправильно сформулирована, или предложение неправильно построено, а где просто так не говорят. Как бы хорошо мы с вами, не знали язык, часто бывает сложно стилистические ошибки уловить.

- Experience with CaliberRM, Together, Eclipse a definite asset
- Demonstrable skill in Object Oriented Analysis and Design

At least five years experience with enterprise application development on Java platform. Knowledge of SOA an asset.
Ability to work on complex, multi-stage projects. Ability to work on more than one project at a time with low to moderate daily supervision.
Excellent communication skills
Experience with, or ability to, develop and deliver technical training to large groups
