Summary of Essential Job Functions:
Development and maintenance of global financial reporting systems.
Work with managers to scope, architect, develop and implement new reporting solutions.
Work with managers, technical staff and users to implement financial reporting solutions. This includes involvement in requirement analysis, test plans, individual and group training, meetings and documentation as well as ensuring that proper processes are followed in the systems life cycle to maintain responsive, reliable, and functional systems.
Develop and maintain OLAP Servers (Cognos TM1, MS SSAS) including creating and maintaining cubes, dimensions, rules and processes.
Analyze, design, develop, test and maintain complex Business Intelligence reports and dashboard using various front end tools (Excel, IBM Clarity, Cognos BI, SQL SSRS).
Develop and maintain Microsoft SQL databases including creating and maintaining databases, tables, views, stored procedures and database triggers.
Develop and maintain ETL (MS SSIS) processes for the various global financial data collection and reporting systems.
Communicate effectively in all mediums and to all levels within the organization.
Author clear, concise and complete technical and functional design specification documentation.
Develop application training material for both internal and external use.
Develop and maintain training documentation to support the processes required.
Design and perform systems and quality assurance testing.
Other duties as required.
Desired Skills and Experience
5+ years of relevant experience in a similar role.
3+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server tools (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS).
5+ years of overall progressive financial reports development and 2+ years’ experience with SQL Server programming, including SQL and MDX.
2+ years of experience with design and development of ETL processes.
Experience with analytic reporting- OLAP technologies
Experience with best practices of information visualization, user interface design, and iterative customer-driven design processes.
Experience with Financial and Reporting applications.
Experience with developing test plans, test cases and training materials.
Knowledge of oriented object programming (Java, C++, C#, X++).
A “customer service” orientation and demonstrate a “can do” attitude.
Ability to think critically and analytically.
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
An eye for automation and process improvements.
First class written and oral presentation skills.
Experience with other programming languages such as HTML, DHTML, VBScript and/or VisualBasic.
Experience with web-based technologies such as Portal, Servlets, XML, JSP, ASP, or UML.
Experience in the following applications/systems would be considered an asset:
IBM Cognos TM1
IBM Cognos BI
IBM Cognos Controller
Microsoft SharePoint
