Want to travel to Europe? Well, it might not be as easy as you think because the European Union (EU) is currently considering requiring U.S. citizens and Canadians to apply for visas before visiting the country of their choice, even if it’s for a short vacation. Why the change? Because Europeans need visas to enter into U.S. and Canada.

во всех газетах местных уже неделю муссируется

завтра, вроде, решить должны, что им важнее - принципы или TTIP и американские туристы
даже если еврокомиссия решит в пользу виз, европарламент может и отменить

Fair кстати. Канадцу могут теперь отказать в визе в ЕС по усмотрению пограничного офицера
Виза - это привелегия, а не .... как там у нас говорят

там весь сыр-бор по поводу румын и болгар, а им полноценная виза нужна...
While Canadians and Americans travel visa-free throughout the European Union, the same cannot be said for all travelers from EU member countries.
The Canadian government requires entry visas from Romanians, Bulgarians and citizens from the Czech Republic. The United States requires visas from residents of Croatia, Cyprus, and Poland in addition to Bulgaria and Romania.
The proposed regulation would allow the Commission to temporarily suspend the EU’s own visa exemptions on foreign countries if they didn’t lift their visa requirements.

Кстати, помню, как Чехи требовали канадцам визу, лично получала в лохматом году в Отаве.
