I am recruiting the following 4 positions for the Application Development
Group. We are forming a new team in our group which focuses on how to make
our current production software applications more reliable as well managing
our build and deployment process to ensure that new code is released into
our production environment in a reliable and predictable way. If you know
of any candidates which might be interested, please refer them. They will
be posted shortly by our HR department.
The open positions are:
Manager, Build and Support Group (Manager - Business Systems)
Instructs, directs and checks the work of software developers in the Build
& Support Group. Must develop a full technical knowledge and thorough
understanding of business application being supported. May schedule and
coordinate projects. Liaises with other departments regarding timelines and
layouts. May also be involved in the design phase of projects from a
process and operations design standpoint. Works with customers and other
techincal teams to resolve problems with software and responds to
suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
Owns the Application Planning and Development Group's Incident Queues.
Works with own staff and other teams in the Application Planning and
Development on ensuring those incident tickets are resolved and closed.
Owns the design, implementation and ongoing operation of the
Build/Deployment Process for the NARS IT Application Suite.
7-10 years experience, with 1-3 years in a management role.
2 X Senior Consultant, Build and Support Group (Senior Consultant -
Business Systems)
Under general direction, participates as high level technical expert in
design development, coding, code-review, testing, and debugging new
software or significant enhancements to existing software. Works with
technical staff to understand problems with software and develops
specifications to resolve them. May act as team leader on less complex
projects. Assists in training less experienced programming staff.
4-6 years of programming experience.
Reports to Manager, Build and Support Group.
Analyst, Build and Support Group (Analyst - Business Systems)
Under general supervision, formulates and defines systems scope and
objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding
of applicable business systems and industry requirements. With this
knowledge, develops or modifies moderately complex information systems.
Includes analysing business and user needs, documenting requirements, and
revising existing system logic difficulties as necessary. May guide and
advise less experienced Business Systems Analysts. Competent to work in
some phases of systems analysis and considers the business implications of
the application of technology to the current business environment.
Reports to Manager, Build and Support Group.
