In this role, the successful candidates will be responsible for the
implementation of BASEL projects. This individuals will support the project
manager and work very closely with clients to understand their needs,
represent their interests, and resolve business issues.

The qualified candidates must have the following:

-- Understanding of asset/liability management techniques, valuation
models and data requirements;
-- Understanding of gap management, position reporting, transfer pricing,
and income calculation;
-- Understanding of the functional complexity of the bank;
-- Ability to assess and distill complex and challenging issues;
-- Proficient presentation and communication skills, both written and
verbal;
-- Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
-- Experienced in data mapping from source feed into the database;
-- Strong project management skills;
-- Exposure in SQL, UNIX, DTS or Sybase;
-- Ability to create SQL query.

Sr. QA Analyst

This senior role is responsible for planning and executing test strategies to validate system functionality of the mission-critical systems
This role will:

· Lead the definition and planning of test strategies.

· Leads the test team by coordinating the test efforts of other members of a project team including reporting on the results, discrepancies and issues found during test.

· Design, create and execute test cases based upon business requirements and system requirements to validate system functionality.

· Analyze test outputs, document test results, investigate discrepancies and track issues through to closure.

· Participate as a member of cross functional project teams.

· Design, implement and execute automated test scripts.

· Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members, stakeholders and business partners using a variety of techniques and collaboration from initiation to close

· Facilitate small to medium size group meetings for information gathering and problem solving

· Resolve minor to medium level conflicts/ issues and escalates others as appropriate.



Must Have Skills:

· Minimum of five years of functional testing experience with two years in a test leadership role.

· Experience working in formal systems development and testing methodologies such as iterative development and Rational Unified Process.

· Experience using a test management framework such as Rational Test Manager, and automated functional regression test tools such as Rational ROBOT.

· Experience testing mission critical systems running on UNIX and/or HP Tandem.

· Experience and knowledge of trading and trading systems.

· Basic programming skills to support creation and management of automated test scripts.

· Good problem solving and analytical skills as well as strong written and oral communication skills.

· Good knowledge of databases such as Oracle, MS SQL Server and Access

· Ability to quickly learn applications both from a business and technical perspective as they relate to assignments.

Our Client a market leader in their field has an immediate need for a Senior QA Consultant with some business analysis experience.

The main responsibilities of this role will include:
- Create the Test Strategy document for the projects listed above.
- Create the UAT plan, UAT criteria and test cases by working with the Business Project Team members
- Execute the test cases and document the test results and where necessary log the defects for resolution by IT.
- Attend the regular test meetings for defect identification & definition, defect tracking until resolved - by working with both the Business & IT project members
- Create other project related documents & plans under the guidance of the business project manager as assigned
- Review the training materials and suggest changes where necessary and ensure changes have been made
- Ensure that the application delivered by IT meets the documented quality and acceptance criteria as set out by the project organization.

The following skills are required for consideration for this role
- 5 to 10 years experience in QA Testing (senior QA role)
- Some business analysis experience
- Strong UAT
- Good documentation skills
- Excellent user skills
- Strong verbal & written communication
- Banking, Brokerage, Accounting or related
