Quality Control Software Tester
Description:
Since 1993, Meridian Systems (http://www.meridiansystems.com) has developed award winning project control systems for global enterprises. In 2006, Meridian Systems became an independent subsidiary of Trimble (http://www.trimble.com). We are seeking talented and motivated individuals to be part of our Quality Control team in North Vancouver. As a QC Software Tester, you will be testing our next generation Internet based applications built on Microsoft’s .NET platform with SQL Server 2005 database.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct black box and white box testing on components
- Create, maintain, and execute test plans
- Identify, document and follow up on software issues
- Interact with Software Developers
- Participate in document, process and code inspections
- Install, configure and troubleshoot software in Windows O/S and network environment
- The ability to occasionally lead a small team or project would be an asset

Required Skills and Experience:
- 3+ years of software testing experience
- Substantial experience with HTML , JavaScript, Web 2.0 technologies
- Substantial experience with Windows 2000/2003 Server and Workstation
- Experience in MS SQL Server 2000/2005
- Strong knowledge of IIS, web technologies, and Internet protocols
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Flexible in your approach and able to adapt to rapid change
- Knowledge of Web Accessibility would be an asset
- Experience with test automation would be an asset
- Enthusiastic about .NET
