Well, me and my friend, who used to be pro-gun, but now is anti for some odd reason, ie, "why would you need a semi automatic rifle to defend your house?" then when I said "what if you live on a large piece of property" he just said "then you should move to a smaller house, you dont need a large house."
Anyway, he mentioned school shootings in the USA. So, I went on the wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_sc ... ed_attacks.
I added up all the Canadian school shooting deaths in 20 years, got 26.
I added up all the USA school shooting deaths in 20 years, got 137 (not counting suicides in which nobody else was harmed or threatened, not suicides at the end of the shooting or anything like that, did this for both nations.)
Canada has 33.3 million people.
USA has 301.1 million people.
I divided 26/33,300,000 got 7.8 (0,078 на 100 000)
I divided 137/301,100,000 got 4.5 (0,045 на 100 000)
I think Canada is more violent regarding school shootings, am I right? Have I singlehandedly defeated Michael Moore and his stupid Bowling for Columbine movie? Seems so
I'm not too good at math, though. So can anyone like, refine this math for me, or if you want, re-add it up using that list, to check and see if I'm right or missed anything?
