Engineer, Networking and Firewall Security
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Routing and Switching certification is required.
Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) certification is required.
Experience with supporting Checkpoint/Multi-Vendor VPN connections.
Cisco Certified Network Associate Security (CCNA Security) is considered an asset.
Checkpoint Point Certified Security Expert (CCSE) is considered an asset.
Multi-format communication skills are a must; email, conference calls, messaging and face-to-face are all applicable for the role.
Experience with common routing technologies; BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, redistribution etc., considered an asset.
Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and manage projects.
Experience interfacing with various workgroups, both remotely and face-to-face.
Flexibility to travel within North America 5% of the time (if needed).
Experience with common LAN switching technologies; STP, 802.1Q, LACP, an asset.
Experience with CoS/QoS mechanisms and policies, an asset.
Experience with LAN/WAN monitoring tools (implementation and use), an asset.
Proficient in capturing Infrastructure (voice/data Carrier services, system components & route configurations) for production support documents, an asset.
Proficient at leveraging IP packet capture technologies to analyze and solve network performance and connectivity issues, an asset.
Vendor management and contract negotiations experience, an asset.
F5 Load Balancer experience, an asset.
Experience in building from detailed design as well as ad hoc.
Infrastructure Application Engineer
4 to 6 years’ experience managing enterprise applications
Bachelor degree with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science is preferred
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Technology Specialist or VCP is considered an asset
Project and change management experience considered an asset
Real world enterprise expertise in the following technologies:
Windows PowerShell and Automation
Office 365 and Microsoft Azure
Microsoft System Center (DPM, OpsMgr and SCCM)
Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware vSphere
Active Directory and ADFS
Windows Client and Server Operating systems
Microsoft Dynamics CRM, AX, SharePoint
