Database Analyst
We are looking for a Database Analyst to join our Development team. This role will appeal to a person who enjoys designing and developing efficient database solutions for large scale web-based applications.
Position Duties & Responsibilities:
• Data modeling and database design: plan, design, and construct logical and physical models
• Collect and develop metadata describing data elements; conduct data analysis to determine where and how the data is stored, business rules to be built into it, and how the data can be reused for various business needs
• Develop database solutions such as indexes, partitions, views, stored procedures, etc.
• Support application development team in understanding the data model
• Prepare database components and execute database modifications for Production release
• Perform database performance tuning and efficient utilization activities
• Production support and problem resolution when required; conduct root-cause analysis on problems as they may occur
Qualifications:
• Strong background in relational technology fundamentals, modeling and design; familiar with data modeling methodologies, tools and techniques.
• Minimum of 3 years experience with MS SQL Server architecture and design
• Minimum of 5 years experience with database programming including triggers, stored procedures, and complex SQL
• Post secondary degree in Computer Science or related field of study
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server 2000, and T-SQL
• Strong data analysis and database solution design skills
• Demonstrated experience in developing, maintaining, and supporting SQL databases in a MS SQL Server 2000 environment
• Proven experience with large scale databases (over 100 million rows) and deriving reporting cubes
• Service oriented with a focus on database reliability, service-level delivery, and quality of deliverables
• Good knowledge of OLAP
• COM+, .NET technologies, Perl, VB, ETL, Tools are asset.
• Sybase Power Designer or Erwin, XML is an asset

А какой смысл меряться пиписьками размеров? NNN GB, imho, малоинформативно. Например там 1000 записей всего на это дело и без fooltext поиска. И что, это нагрузка?Yuri Dimant писал(а):... like 50GB-800GB полно?
