Я сам из тех, кто спрятался за дверь,
Кто мог идти, но дальше не идет,
Кто мог сказать, но только молча ждет,
Кто духом пал и ни во что не верит.
Моя душа беззвучно слезы льет.
Я песню спел, она не прозвучала.
Устал я петь, мне не начать сначала,
Не сделеть первый шаг и не идти вперед.
Я тот, чей разум прошлым лишь живет.
Я тот, чей голос глух и потому
К сияющим вершинам не зовет,
Я добрый, но добра не сделал никому.
Я птица слабая, мне тяжело лететь
Я тот, кто перед смертью еле дышит.
И как ни трудно мне об этом петь,
Я все-таки пою, ведь кто-нибудь услышит.

The thorn bird sang
For just one day.
Silent until a
thorn bush he found.
In that place he made
His lovely sound.
The thorn birds tune
Played up in heaven
Beyond the moon
For just one time
He sang his tune.
His singing voice
was sweet and clear
Bringing joy to all who hear.
Even in heaven way up high
It brought a tear to the masters eye
When his singing stopped
the whole world cried.
As the lovely singer
faded and died.
He cheered the world
For just one morn
Then impaled himself
Upon the longest thorn
Jude Kyrie
