The QA Analyst is a key team member during the Production Phase of Blast Radius projects. They are responsible for planning and managing testing activities, creating detailed test plans and performing tests. Essentially, the QA Analyst ensures that Blast Radius projects meet the highest level of quality standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES /
Compose accurate and detailed test plans.
Write detailed testing reports, ongoing and comprehensive Quality Assurance documents, and provide timely information to Technical Architects and Project Managers so they can make sound decisions about the status of sites.
Interface with the production team regarding the resolution of QA issues.
Conduct version controls including tracking and updating files.
Based on Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs) ensure sites meet functional requirements and browser and plug-in compatibility.
Work one-on-one with developers to work through QA issues and provide ongoing feedback and testing.
Research and stay abreast of new technologies with the goal of understanding platform and browser issues and best practices QA methodologies.
Write test scripts both formally and informally.
Test for design, navigation and behavior consistency and flow.
On occasion, review code and validate database schemas and double check user entries in the database.
Report on progress findings on an ongoing basis.
Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions as required.
Define Exit Criteria for each Testing Cycle.
Participate in Blast Radius internal activities.
Perform special projects/duties as required.
Such duties that may be reasonably required by the Company.
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE /
At least 2 years experience as a QA tester.
A demonstrated understanding of the development lifecycle and how QA fits into the process.
A demonstrated understanding of front-end and back-end technologies and how they fit together.
Basic HTML skills are a must.
Strong communication and problem solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment required.
