And now, six years into his term, after the Democrats have taken control of Congress and started investigations into all areas of environmental controls, Bush’s War in Iraq, lies that led the functional illiterate, incurious, and naïve of this country into supporting Bush’s War of choice, Bush decides to throw an appeaser at the environmental community by enacting Benzene controls to take effect in 25 years, long after his term of office is over, and long after some other Bush could conceivably come along and overturn them.If Bubble-brain-in-chief had been serious about pollutant reductions, he would have inacted such a proposal six years ago and mandated the effective date January 1, 2009 while he was still in office. My, my, my, having a Democratic Congress turning up one revelation after another in the last two months does put a damper on his halo.He cant even deny habeas corpus through his selective replacement of appeals courts judges anymore. If anyone ever doubted the importance of having the Democratic Party take over the House and the Senate, revelations such as this habeas corpus case and yesterday*s reports about a secretive office in the Pentagon run by Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, and Feith in conjunction with Perle, Hadley, Libby, Cheney, and Bubble-brain-in-chief Bush should dispel such doubts. Feith et al rewrote the CIA*s intelligence using lies, fabrications, and manipulations in order to support Bushs desire for a vanity/legacy war that would presumably insulate his dictatorial power grabs in a halo of *war time president.* Unless there is an immediate end to Bush*s War in Iraq, impeachments, and war crimes trials, these people will remain in power for two more years, free to start another diversionary war in Iran and goodness only knows where else. Join the March 16-17 marches in the streets to stop Bush*s War and Bush*s reign of terror.

I agree with much of what Putin said. Except for one thing: he called Bush a decent man.

Everything Putin said was the truth, delivered in a candid fashion.I realize that speaking the truth is a rare ocurrance in Washington these days, but nevertheless the comments and reactions from US delegates is another disappointment in a long line of disappointments. When are american politicians going to wake up and admit to the realities of this world. Norway

If the cold war is over, I dont understand why NATO wants to put missiles in eastern europe. That said, I have no sympathy for Putin after the murder of Politovskaya and many others who disagreed with him.
