@ Ted from Toronto. If working hard was all it took to become rich then single moms would be the richest people in Canada. But the reality is the richest more often than not were afforded breaks in life because their parents could afford to pay their way. Very few come up from nothing (which is why that story is so interesting, it's rare.) You can defend privilege all you want, but the reality is the when people stop being able to afford to buy things, the rich won't be so rich anymore.
