Our client, based in the Okanagan, is searching for a J2EE Developer for a 5 month contract with possible extensions to assist with an upgrade project for their current application.

The Okanagan, easily accessible from both lower mainland of BC and Alberta, offers great winter, spring and summer outdoor activities with all the amenities of Vancouver. With a fast growing reputation as Silicon Valley north, there opportunities are many. When this position is due to finish, West Pacific Consulting will assist you with finding additional employment in the area with several other clients. In addition for selected candidates we will also in the search for furnished accommodation while on contract.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for and should have the following experience:

Developing application functionality using J2EE technologies
Experience with Stateless Session Beans, relational databases is a must (Oracle Preferred).
Experience with Hibernate OR mapping tool, JBoss application server is an asset.
Experience with Oracle RDBMS is an asset
