Position: Systems Engineer Server Company: Coast Capital Savings

Job Description:
The System Engineer Server supports a high level of member service and efficiency in the delivery of Coast Capital Savings products and services; supporting all operating systems, programming activities and operating systems utilities related to the running of the Windows 2003 Server Technologies. Responsibilities include systems design and configuration development of Windows 2003 Server Technologies; performance analysis and optimization; security and recovery procedures; provision of technical guidance to information systems staff; and managing the systems/hardware interface. This position provides timely support, analysis and resolution to all software and hardware related problems and on-call critical support to a point of highest escalation.
Qualifications Required: The ideal candidate will have a Diploma of Technology or a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field. An equivalent combination of 3-5 years of job related experience / post secondary education will be considered.
A minimum of 3 years experience working at the enterprise level in Windows 2003 X86/Itanium Server, implementing and troubleshooting Windows 2000/2003 Infrastructure including Exchange / CMS / DFS and Windows scripting experience. In-depth knowledge and implementation experience of Nas/San technology. VMware ESX experience, familiarity with Network Appliance and an up-to-date knowledge of server patch management is required. Excellent documentation / presentation skills will be an asset. Strong understanding of TCP/IP networks with Cisco experience a plus.
Familiarity with the financial services industry is an asset. The successful applicant will possess strong initiative and organizational, prioritization, change and project management skills and the ability to communicate well, both verbal and written. Must have flexibility in work hours, be able to deal with critical issues in a timely manner and be self motivated in a team oriented, dynamic and collaborative environment.

You will provide technical support, analysis, and resolution services for end-user computing technologies with professional customer service. Project work includes planning and performing large-scale software and hardware installs, planning and deploying equipment for new location openings, and implementing infrastructure and business solutions as part of a cross-functional team. You will also manage and develop vendor relationships.
Qualifications Required
You don’t need to have a degree in rocket science or your masters in psychology, but what we do look for is around two years of job related experience combined with post secondary education in a related discipline.
You have excellent verbal and written communications skills and are able to clearly communicate over the phone, by email, and in person, with professionalism and patience, to customers of different computer-skill levels. You are very organized, take initiative, able to learn new technologies, and understand how to align your work with corporate objectives. A strong understanding of TCP/IP networks, Active Directory and Group Policy, and Windows scripting for administration a plus. Bonus: experience in a financial services environment is ideal.
