West Vancouver high school under lockdown

WEST VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - West Vancouver Police are at Rockridge Secondary School, where the school is under lockdown, and some students and staff say they've been crouched under their desks for over 30 minutes.

Close to twenty police cars and heavily armed police officers surrounded the school after 1:30 pm, and witnesses have told News1130 that police are looking for someone who might have a gun. West Vancouver Police have not explained the reason for the lockdown, but they say all students are safe.

The school was locked down after 1 PM, after reports of two people near the school carrying rifles.
