Our client at Waterloo is searching for a Senior Software Developer to work in an environmental company.

Role: Senior Software Developer (C++ and C#)
Work Location: Waterloo, ON
Type of position: Fulltime and Permanent

Responsibilities:
- Participate and develop requirement specification
- Create detailed design and participate in design review and code review
- Mentor junior developers in the team
- Write system components’ source code and perform system integration
- Carry out unit test
Required Skills:
- Bachelor or Master Degree of computer science or software engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of programming in product development using C++ and/or C#
- Knowledge and experience of software development process
- Excellent communication, technical team leading and people skills
- 3+ years of Use Case development and Windows GUI design
- Extensive understanding of programming techniques such as Component design, XML, OOAD, UML and design pattern
- Database programming is a must
- Strong problem solving ability
Assets/ Additional Nice to have:
- Knowledge or development experience of Engineering, Environmental and GIS software
- Experience of Borland C++, GDI+, OpenGL and Direct X
- Knowledge of Web programming and Microsoft SQL and Oracle DB
