View - Encoding -Cyrillic (KOI-8R or Windows) if you didn't uncheck Russian when installing your packs.
Or you didn't import-export the contents of Outlook correctly
What about Russian in your whatever Word or Notepad or Explorer?
Or ask in either English or Russian please )

Re: Abracadabra in OE's Cyrillic Message Titles & Contacts
What you've suggested i.e. View - Encoding -Cyrillic (KOI-8R or Windows) is to encode the message body i.e. not the message headers nor contact names. The way I "imported" the messages and titles from my previous XP installation was that I just copied *.wab and *.dbx files accross to the new XP installation. It worked previously a while ago so this time I didn't bother with a proper import/export either. Well, now it sounds like I should have done it the proper way. Any way to fix that encoding problem after the fact?

I mean, does only Outlook behave in such way?
Yes, you right, in XP it's copy-paste, I forgot, Importing is from Outlook to Vista Windows Mail
