I'm currently looking to fill the role of a QC IT specialist, which is basically the attached job description PLUS the snippet below.

We are seeking talented and motivated individuals to be part of our QA team in North Vancouver. As a QA Software Tester, you will be testing our next generation Internet based applications built on Microsoft’s .NET platform with SQL Server 2005 database.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct black box testing on components
Create, maintain, and execute test plans
Identify, document and follow up on software issues
Interact with Software Developers
Participate in document, process and code inspections
Install, configure and troubleshoot software in Windows O/S and network environment
The ability to occasionally lead a small team or project would be an asset
- 3+ years of software testing experience
Substantial experience with Windows 2000/2003 Server and Workstation
Experience in MS SQL Server 2000/2005
Strong knowledge of IIS, web technologies, and Internet protocols
Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Flexible in your approach and able to adapt to rapid change
Experience with test automation would be an asset
Enthusiastic about .NET

As a QA IT Specialist, you are responsible for the departmental hardware and networking infrastructure (Test Lab), departmental technical direction and vision, as well as technical testing activities.
Responsibilities include:
- Investigating and recommending future product RPM (Reference Platform Model) requirements and support levels. This includes:
o Operating Systems and extensions
o Database Systems
o IIS, web technologies and internet protocols
o File Servers
o Document Servers
o Etc.
- Validation and verification testing of products against current and future RPM requirements.
- Migration testing of customer and test data.
- Tier-3 (development) support for various internal and external customers.
- Planning of hardware and software infrastructure for department and test lab.
