Alice Housing is second-stage non-profit housing for women with or without children who have fled domestic abuse. They offer a safe non-judgmental environment for women leaving abusive relationships who have identified their own need for ongoing support and counselling. Alice Housing offers second and third stage housing, a drop in centre, a women’s counselling program, parenting classes, support and counselling for children and outreach and advocacy.

The Self-Help Connection is a Self-Help Resource Centre for hundreds of groups in Nova Scotia, including support groups for abuse, anxiety, stress, depression, manic depression, addictions, bereavement, eating disorders, parenting, caregiving, heart and stroke, cancer and divorce. They help individuals find the right group for themselves, family members and/or friends. The Self-Help Connection will also assist you in starting your own self-help group, by providing you with information, as well as connecting you with other like-minded individuals.
