Tradable Bits, is a self-funded Vancouver startup. We launched in January and were selected as one of the hottest startups at the GROW Conference in August and made the Top 5. The Tradable Bits platform allows users to create custom Facebook Pages and campaigns in minutes using our custom Apps to engage fans and customers. We currently have over 14.7 Million Monthly Active Users, manage over 270,000 Facebook pages and are one of the top ranked Facebook developers (currently #14 on FB Dev Leaderboard).

Our target is small and medium sized businesses, which we think is the next big boom, and we have some killer stuff to work on. We've got a HUGE opportunity to attack but we need some talented and passionate people to help accelerate our growth and polish some of our rough edges up using high quality craftsmanship.

About the Job

As our front-end lead (CSS/HTML/Javascript), you will be responsible for creating the code that will be seen by tens of millions of people around the globe. Develop and extend the CSS, mash-up the templates and write/extend the javascript to make the magic happen. Passion for things like whitespace, alignment, snappy UI elements and user experience are a must. You may not be a Photoshop wizard, but you know good design when you see it. A CS-related degree is nice, but we're more interested in your skills, instincts and personality.

Requirements
Ability to write hand-coded, clean and commented html and css that works cross-browser and cross-device
Maintain a high level of attention to detail ensuring that designs and layouts are adhered to
Leverage and extend open-source javascript libraries
Understanding of how to work effectively and efficiently with APIs
Expertise with object-oriented PHP programming
Excellent verbal and written communications
Disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance (PHPUnit, YUITest, etc.)
Ability to work independently and take ownership of features
A solid online portfolio. Seriously, if you've just tweaked a few wordpress templates....don't waste our time.
Bonus Points
Active with social media and a solid understanding of the space
Experience working in a start-up environment
Experience developing mobile web apps
Built something using LESS or SaaS
Sense of humour and irreverence
