OPENING DAY - MARKET DAY
The official opening will be held on the outdoor stage of the Italian Cultural Centre at 12pm followed by a spectacular line-up of entertainment. Highlights of the day include performances by "Operatic Events", the traditional melodies of Gianni Fuoco and guests and a special performance by international singing and songwriting sensation Carmelina Cupo, as well as performances by Famee Furlane and our own Gruppo Folkloristico Trevigiano Veneto Italian folkloristic ensemble! There will be outdoor games for the children, face painting and a magic show by Tickles the Clown! The day wouldn't be complete without a delicious array of regional specialties prepared by the Italian-Canadian Associations, and you absolutely won't want to miss the photographic exhibit in the Library by Byron Smith. A festive afternoon filled with wonderful entertainment, appetizing culinary delights, market vendors, The Beat Street Squad, Tim Horton's Community Cruiser, The Pepsi Team & fun for the entire family!

The Italian Consulate General and the Istituto Italiano di Cultura, in collaboration with the ICCS invite you to an evening of jazz repertoires: Senza Parole-Canzoni Italiane in Jazz, revisits some of the most enjoyable and popular Italian songs this time performed through a different medium: Jazz. Gracing the stage with this non-vocal representation will be a group of guest performers from Italy: Ettore Martin - Sax Tenore; Matteo Alfonso - Piano; Leonardo Rigo - Contrabass; and Enzo Carpentieri - Percussion.

Enjoy hilarious theatrical entertainment with performers Stefano Giulianetti, Lia Como and Darren Dissegna of BellaLuna Productions as well as Kirsten Van Ritzen, Cristina Sicoli and Opera Diva Maria Cristina Fantini, and special guest appearance by the explosive little Fausto Santoro. The evening continues with inspiring musical performances by the Italian Choir of BC and the award winning Notre Dame Regional Secondary School show choir.

This evening was organized by Choir Director, Fortuna Konarski. The captivating program includes a beautiful folkloric dance performance by "Folk AVC Edelweiss Dancers" and continues with classical, folkloric and operatic pieces. Also featuring the talented Ramona Barillaro, Engus Stuart - Tenor, Silvano Gastaldo - Bass. Evaryst Sitkowiecki at the piano.
