Before the war, received from Ford's subsidiaries in Germany, Belgium

superior honor award for foreigners Grand Cross of the German Eagle.
German Consul then made a trip to Detroit to personally present golden
cross with a swastika. Ford was delighted with this award. The grand
gala dinner, timed to coincide with the anniversary day on July 30,
1938, was attended by more than 1,500 Detroit wealthy people.
With the start of the World War II Ford has not stopped cooperation
with the Nazis. In 1940, Ford refused to produce aircraft engines for
Great Britain that fought against Germany, while in the French town of
Poissy its new plant began producing aircraft engines, trucks and cars
for the Nazi army. After 1941 the Ford branch in occupied France
continued to produce trucks for the Wehrmacht, and the Algerian branch
supplied trucks and armored vehicles to Nazi General Rommel. Even in
April, 1943, when the Soviet Union led a bloody battle against the
Nazis, the French subsidiaries of Ford worked exclusively for the
Germany’s benefit. 5-ton freights and Ford were the main Wehrmacht army
transport. Profit taking by all means remained the major issue for the
corporation. At the end of the war allied aircraft bombed a factory in
Poissy, but a Ford plant in German Cologne wasn’t affected, although
ancient city was destroyed nearly completely. Remarkably, after the war,
the Ford as its rival General Motors, thanks to the advocates, got the
compensation “for damages to their property in enemy territory.”

with the enemy, in his book “The Brotherhood of business,” said: “In
Germany we were interfered by the German businessmen, not American.
Those who disturbed us, operated out of the United States, but didn’t
act openly. We weren’t interfered with any Congress law, the U.S.
President or his Administration’s to change the policy. In short, we
weren’t formally prevented by the “government.” But countervailing power
kept a check on government powers. Facing the growing economy, the
government is powerless, and this is a matter of common knowledge.”
Even after Germany declared war on the United States, due to the White
House connivance a number of major U.S. companies continued to
collaborate with Hitler!
