Awful news about the fire at the Ukrainian Catholic church in Brampton.
Parishioners of a Ukrainian church in Brampton say they are stronger and will rebuild after a fire destroyed their church on Saturday. Father Roman Galadza says that when the St. Elias the Prophet Parish church in Brampton burned down, it was like experiencing a death in the family.
The church will continue on with its Easter plans, according to its website. It is holding an Easter Market on April 12, and will sell paska, an Eastern European Easter bread enjoyed by Ukranians, at its parish house.
Prime Minister Stephen Harper tweeted his regret about the fire, calling it awful news.
"Karma is nothing but the Law of Cause and Effect operating in the realm of human life and bringing about adjustments between an individual and other individuals whom he has affected by his thoughts, emotions and actions."
