Police seek help in locating missing Burnaby teenager

BURNABY - The RCMP is asking for the public's help in locating a missing 18-year-old who hasn't been seen by her family she left home Saturday afternoon.
Alexandra Reziapova left her family's home in the 4300-block of Beresford at around 2 p.m. Saturday.
Reziapova is an avid photographer and often goes to parks -- especially Burnaby Lake, Central Park and Deep Cove -- to take pictures.
But on Saturday, she left home without her camera.
Adding to her parents' concern is the fact that Reziapova, a student at the B.C. Institute of Technology, missed her classes Monday morning.
She also did not take any money with her and has not used her bank account since Saturday.
Reziapova's parents, Elena and Marat, have told police she has never gone missing before.
"It's very unusual for her," said police Const. Kalinda Link. "She likes to be at home."
Anyone with information on Reziapova's whereabouts is asked to contact Burnaby RCMP at 604-294-7922 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Just come back home: Dad
Parents plead for news of missing 18-year-old daughter

Tearful Burnaby parents Elena and Marat Reziapova just want their missing 18-year-old daughter Alexandra to come home.
"Just come back home, you can do whatever you want, just come back and stay with us, we love you," Alexandra's dad said yesterday.
He was the last person to see Alexandra when she left their home in the 4300-block Beresford about 2 p.m. on Saturday with her backpack.
There has been no word from her since, and she failed to attend class at the B.C. Institute of Technology yesterday.
Alexandra is not known to have a boyfriend and has never stayed away from home before.
Her parents said they became concerned when Alexandra, a nature lover who likes to photograph flowers in area parks, failed to return home by 9 p.m. on Saturday.
The Reziapovas, who emigrated from Russia in 1998, said their daughter made albums of pictures of flowers that she took during her outings. But she did not take her camera with her on Saturday.
The parents said she may have had a spare set of pants in her backpack. RCMP say she has not taken money from her bank account.
"She didn't take any money and she has a debit card and she has cash and she has quite a good amount of money in her debit card and she didn't take her debit card or her cash or her driver's licence and it doesn't look like she decided to run away without money," said her mother.
"We are not aware of any boyfriend, she never had any boyfriend.
"Pretty much every Saturday she goes outside to the parks just to take pictures, to walk around -- it is very usual that she left home on Saturday and that is why we did not worry when she was later.
"We began to worry after 9 p.m."
She said her daughter was taking several transfer credit programs at BCIT before studying nursing and the only difficulty she had in recent days was math, from which she had dropped out.
There were no problems at home.
"If you have any information please call the RCMP -- we just want to get our daughter back -- please call," said her mom. "We want to believe that something happened that she may be just wanted to stay alone for a few days."
Alexandra is about five-feet-six, 130 pounds and has green eyes and long brown hair.

Re: lost girl
