VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) - Police say the body of the missing 18 year old BCIT student was not far from UBC. Constable Kalinda Link with Burnaby RCMP isn't saying whether foul play or something else is involved in Alexandra Reziapova's death. She says the autopsy will determine the direction the investigation will go. A cyclist found the body after it washed ashore on Spanish Banks.
Despite a tearful plea from her parents, there had been no sign of the shy teen for almost a week after she was last seen leaving her home at Beresford and Willingdon Saturday afternoon. She did spend a lot of time taking nature photographs in parks, but didn't have her camera with her when she disappeared. If she was dating anyone, no one knew about it.
