Думаете, во всемирном конкурсе желатто, итальянцам из Италии не дали участвовать?
Или канадцы "на лапу" дали жюри, чтоб победить?
Ну и ещё, например:Coleridge’s creation “Noce Pecan e Sciroppo d’Acero Canadese” (Pecan and Canadian Maple Syrup) was awarded first prize by the technical panel, as the best among the 30 master gelato makers. In addition, more than 200,000 visitors attended the Festival and were given the opportunity to vote for the best gelato. The people voted for Coleridge’s gelato and he was awarded with the “people’s choice award” in the competition in Florence, Italy from May 23 to 27.

We spoke to a Master Gelato Maker who came all the way from Canada for the festival. James Coleridge of the Bella Gelateria in Vancouver is a veritable Gelato Master, winning in 2011 the “Gelato Pioneers-The Father” prize by Carpigiani. In 2012 he also joined Canada’s team in the finals of the World Cup Gelato Sigep.
James brought the ingredients for his new flavour all the way from Canada for the contest: peacans from California and traditional maple syrup from Quebec. And it was such a hit, it won the Best Gelato Flavour prize!
