МОСКВА, 12 авг - РИА Новости. Один из самых сильных метеорных потоков года можно будет увидеть в ночь на четверг - вечером 12 августа ожидается максимум метеорного потока Персеиды: по прогнозу, на небе будут появляться более 100 падающих звезд в час.
По данным Международной метеорной организации, максимум потока придется на 12 августа в 21.30-24.00 мск, сообщил РИА Новости младший научный сотрудник Института астрономии РАН Владислав Леонов.

While you might be able to see a few dozen meteors in the overnight hours tonight and tomorrow night, the actual peak occurs during daylight hours for North America. Moonlight will also interfere with this year's meteor shower.
The best time to watch for meteors is well after midnight until dawn--and being away from city light also helps. The meteor shower is the result of the Earth's orbit passing through a stream of debris left behind in the orbit of a comet (109P/Swift-Tuttle). The most dense part of the stream is near the comet itself, which last passed through the inner solar system in 1992.
If we do get clear skies tonight or tomorrow night, and you want to see some meteors, the best advice is to get away from bright city lights, dress warmly, lie back on a lawn chair or lounge chair, and look up and wait for meteors to streak across the sky. You will probably see a meteor every few minutes.
