The famous Korean director Je-gyu Kang (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0437625/ ) is shooting an epic WW2 movie called My Way (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1606384/).

We are a Vancouver company hiring male local extras to work on the movie being shot in South Korea. They would be playing Russian soldiers in battles, POW camps, etc.
The shooting will be from November 2010 to January 2011. Extras are needed for each of three months of the shoot, and some for all three months.

Each extra would be flown to Korea for the duration of their booking, with return airfare, accommodations and meals taken care of by production. Each one month of work would pay $2000.00, and any work over 10 hours per day would be paid overtime as well.

We may need as many as 100 or more background people so please share this notification to anyone who may be interested.

* The production - in order to present a realistic portrayal of Russians in the film - would prefer actual Russian- and other European-Canadians. They should mostly be between 20 years old and 40 years old.
* Anyone interested should be a Canadian citizen and able to secure a passport to travel.
* Paperwork would be provided by the production, but once someone was booked, they would have to obtain the work visa. This is a simple task and the production would explain how to do it.
* Booked performers would have to get their hair cut in Korea to match the look of Russian soldiers.

Предложение интересное, но ... похоже, канадские спациалисты по кастингу решили "срубить по-легкому".
Корейцы не хотят набирать в России, так сказать, пользоваться первоисточником. Это страшный геморрой и прочие национальные прелести великого и самобытного соседа. Наши в бой пойдут, как в последний раз... А канадцы решают вопрос по-своему и хотят сесть, как всегда, одной жопой, аж, на трех стульях. И корейцам угодить, и налоги в Канаде заплатить (со всеми бенефитами), и русским помочь материально, так сказать, излить посильно. Но последнее, похоже, их волнует меньше всего.
Как показывает опыт прежних лет, подбор русских в Америке весьма интересен, очень многие фильмы наталкивают на мысль, что кастинг проводили в какой-нибудь хоральной синагоге, причем спрашивали, -Вы русский из России или из Израиля?

Вот некоторые вопросы: $2,000, это не просто смешно, это даже не совсем этично. Минимум может быть $5,000 (военная съемка, зима и пр). Принимая во внимание такие пункты контракта, как условия проживания, питание, полная страховка и далее по списку...

Я думаю, что торг уместен.
