What's the job?
Information Security Technical Advisor!
Ok, you won’t be expected to fly or even don a cape (unless it’s business casual), but you will be required to be somewhat of an information security super hero. You will play a key role in the threats and risk assessment activities of the Information Security Management System (ISMS) program with a focus on Coast Capital Savings’ technical security controls.
You’ll be responsible for assisting in the support of the program through continuous execution, development, assessment and improvement in the following areas: technical policy and standards development; promoting a culture and consciousness of security awareness through educating technical staff on security and compliance issues and requirements; monitoring and testing compliance of access controls; performing security consultation, assessments, incident management and investigations.

Who are we looking for?
Along with your super powers, we’re looking for someone with an IT background of 7-9 years, preferably a minimum of three years of recent experience in information security, technical audit or public/private practice consulting. You have working knowledge of ISO 27001/2, COBIT, ITIL and other industry best practices. Along with a Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in a related field, you will possess CISSP, CISA, relevant SANS and or/vendor/industry certification or are actively pursuing certification. You possess excellent organization skills, written communication and presentation skills. Member of ISSA, ISACA or part of the local information security or assurance community would be an asset.
