Job Description:
This role will be reporting into the External Hosting Team within Infrastructure Engineering in the Integration department on the Inland Revenue ASPIRE account. This role is primarily responsible for delivering detailed solutions and support to both internal B2B and dynamic public-facing portals. There is a mix of solution engineering, hands on configuration and support work. It isn't however a development role and there are unlikely to be opportunities for coding. We are looking for experienced infrastructure engineers with a good knowledge of web portals and the infrastructure required to support and deliver them.
Technologies involved in the role:
· HP-UX 11 with Service Guard or Sun Solaris versions 2.8 & 2.9
· Microsoft IIS versions 5 & 6
· Windows NT 4 Server and/or 2000 Server and/or 2003/XP Server
· Oracle 8 & 9
The successful applicant must:
· Good knowledge of network protocols
· Good knowledge of at least one of the following: Webmethods, BEA Weblogic Server v 6,7,8, BEA Weblogic Portal v 4,7,8.

· Platform specific design & configuration & support procurement process
· Support Test process
· Specification of environments & development & build of platforms
· Delivery of packages through structured configuration management systems & processes
· Design & construction of test environments
· Communication of solutions to peers and external customers
· Support of other supply-chain members in the execution of designs
· Production of documents in line with defined quality standards
· Negotiation & agreement of work packages with both internal & external customers
· Resolution of detailed non-functional requirements
