The Quality Assurance Engineer will be the representative for quality matters related to specific customers or products. In general, the Quality Engineer will be responsible to coordinate activities to ensure customer satisfaction. He is responsible to analyze statistical data and propose corrective measurements where required.

The Quality Assurance Engineer will Provide support activities for Operations, liaise with Manufacturing Engineering and Product Engineering to achieve on-time delivery of defect-free products and services in the most cost-effective manner.

Participate in Production and Engineering prototype runs. Play an active role in the Engineering Change process

Responsibilities:
Monitor and maintain quality of products and incoming parts and investigate and address causes for non-conformance
Coordinate and support internal and external Quality System Audits to satisfy ISO 9001:2008 requirements.
Coordinate training sessions and develop supporting training material for the development of production personnel
Support Production, Materials department, Engineering Services and Manufacturing Engineering in Qulaity Assurance opportunities
Maintain Philips Langley, Ledalite’s Quality Management System documentation system
Ensure that program documentation is created, controlled and archived in accordance with the Quality System
Provide advice and consultation on quality compliance requirements.
Required Skills and Knowledge:

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently in a production environment
Proven ability to coach and motivate others; strong communication skills
Knowledge of materials, manufacturing and assembly processes
Knowledge of lighting products is considered an asset
3 ot 5 years experience in a similar role

Education :

University degree in engineering, computer science or related disciplines or Technologist degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering, or related Engineering discipline.

Operation Management Certificate in Quality.
