Job Description:
Position Title: System Support Engineer
Location: Vancouver
Dept Head: Chris Burnes

System Support Engineer
Novus Entertainment Inc. a local Isp and cable Tv provider is currently seeking
a System Support Engineer. Be involved in developing leading edge voip,
internet and tv technology company. Working in a fast paced atmosphere where
you will be exposed to a wide variety of experience in many different
technologies.
Responsibilities:
• Field configuration, deployment and troubleshooting of internet switching and
routing infrastructure
• Tier 3 support of customer issues
• Setup and development of linux servers and internet services
• Maintain internal office network and services
•Assist in system development of in house Subscriber and device management
systems


Required Skills and Experience:
• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent
• CCNA or equivalent networking knowledge
• Working understanding of core technologies of Windows, Unix and Linux
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Experience working on simultaneous projects spanning different domains
• Class 5 Drivers License and vehicle

Assets:
• Experience in Php, Mysql, Javascript, JQuery and scripting programming
languages
• Experience in Radius deployment, Authentication and Accounting
• Experience in SOAP, XML and APIs
• Experience in Vmware deployments
• Familiar with Nas storage arrays, preferably Netapp
• Familiar with Bind, Dhcp, Apache services
• Familiar with Internet streaming and encoding technologies
